I'm Beginning To Sound Like My Mother

"Do you think money grows on trees?"

"If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."

"Don't make me tell you again!"

"Close the door! Were you born in a barn?!"

"Beggars can't be choosers."

"Because I said so!"

"I'll tell you when you're older."

"Don't make me come in there!"

and the ever popular...

"Wait until your father gets home!"

I am guilty of all of those including "Don't make me pull this car over.."
"I wasn't born yesterday!"
and
"When I was growing up...."

My favorite and most common was " I'll give you something to cry about"

I'm pretty sure I say most of those too- and I never wanted to be the "wait until your father comes home' kind of mom....but, then I had Riley. He taught me that being the "wait until your father comes home' mom isn't a weakness, sometimes it is a necessity!
