Thursday Thirteen #23-Before I Die

13 Things I Want To Do Before I Die
(These are in no particular order.)

1. See my children watch their first child be born. Only then, will they truly understand my love for them.

2. Go to Nauvoo, Illinois with the whole family.

3. Go on a cruise with just Josh and I.

4. Send that final payment to the mortgage company. One day, I will really own a home.

5. Graduate from nursing school and have a career I truly love.

6. Make my children proud of me.

7. Write a book.

8. See my husband and children achieve their dreams.

9. Go sky-diving. And snorkeling. And deep sea fishing.

10. Have a completely organized house. A place for everything and everything in it's place.

11. Try sushi. And ride a horse. Two very easily obtainable things...that I've never done.

12. Be a surrogate mother for someone who cannot carry their own child.

13. Never forget the painful things in my life, but grow from them.
Never forget the important things in my life, but be careful what I label "important."
Never forget my mistakes, but get over them and let them go.
Never believe in perfection, but in satisfaction.
Never stop improving myself, but learn to be happy with where I am. And who I've become.

I so want to be you when I grow up! You have an amazing perspective on life! I have tried sushi- hated it! But I have never been horseback riding...I would love to try, but I'm scared! I hope you get to do all of these things!!

you need to go to sushi with someone who loves it, goes often, and who you trust to order you something yummy. my husband never knew he liked sushi until i ordered for him...now its out favorite thing to splurge on!

infact, come on over...i will take you to sushi AND get you on a horse..tho Jordan will have to give you the proper riding lessons she is the real pro in this family!

Now the only problem is finding an infertile person who would be ok with their baby being in your womb... I'll google it for you!

Loved it! I always love your blog! And ditto to "thevasquez3" about sushi. I hated it for years until I went with my husband's family. Now it is by far my favorite food!

It is so true that no one can really understand the love their mother has for them until they have their own children.

I'll bet the day you have a completely organized home where everything is in it's place- will be the same day you are wishing that you still had choatic days filled with kids making a mess ;)

I LOVE the new look on the blog-and I'm almost jealous of the snow keeping you all home today. But after all the ice we've had here, I'm not quite ready to say "I wish it had happened to us too!"

Very interesting list - a cruise would be nice.

hm..interesting. i haven't made one of these kinds of lists since high school (20+ years ago). i have either done everything on the first list or tossed it aside as no longer relevant. perhaps it is time to think of some new challenges.
Good Luck with your list! Have fun in the process...

Fun post! And I LOVE the photo at the top . . . what a great family picture :-)

Sushi - I HATED it . . . until like some other commenters said, I went with someone who knew what to order for me. I've since branched out.

Skydiving is AWESOME! It's so fun and what a rush. I'm not sure I could do it again now that I have kids. It's amazing how your own mortality comes to the forefront when you have children.

Definitely take the cruise . . . we loved our cruise and can't wait to do it again!

Your children are already proud of you - how could they not be? You are a WONDERFUL and AMAZING person.
