Thursday Thirteen #11-Cravings

13 Foods I Craved During My Pregnancies

1. Jelly doughnuts with ketchup-Yeah, my husband thought it was weird, too.

2. Milk-Like a gallon, a day, for about 2 months.

3. Quarter Pounders with mayo-Now...why did I gain over 60 lbs. with that pregnancy? :)

4. Peaches-Great laxative. That's all I'll say.

5. A1 Sauce-I would sit and pour the sauce into a spoon and eat it. Gross, I know.

6. Limes-I'd eat 4 or 5 a night! My gums still hurt from the citric acid!

7. Pickles-What pregnant woman doesn't?

8. Sunflower Seeds-Between my husband and I, we ate a TON!

9. A Frosty from Wendy's-With salt in it.

10. Baked Potatoes-With lots of lemon pepper.

11. Salt and Pepper Potato Chips-Was this MY craving...or Josh's???

12. Jalapenos-I hated these until my last pregnancy. Now I LOVE them.

13. Beer-I know, I know!!!! Don't give me the lecture. I don't even like beer, I have NEVER liked beer...but I WANTED it so badly when I was pregnant! No, I didn't indulge this craving, but it drove me CRAZY for months!

what a list! I didn't have new cravings when I was pregnant, I just really wanted all the stuff I already loved....fast food was always on the top of the list!

Wow. I think I must have missed out when I was pregnant. All I can remember craving is broccoli. Oh, and cottage cheese.

I didn't crave pickles with either pregnancy. With the first one I craved Tabasco. With the second one I craved kumquats. Happy TT.

I didn't have any cravings while pregnant. I wish I had so I'll have an excuse to eat ice cream and chocs!

I've never been pregnant, but when I PMS, I want what I want and you better get out of my way. For what it's worth, at least the Quarter Pounder has few calories than the Big Mac. And beer has so many natural ingredients in it -- maybe that's not such a weird craving after all. (Thanks for visiting my TT)

Man. Sometimes I think I understand WHY women have morning sickness. Just reading Jelly doughnuts with ketchup almost brought on a bout!

Hilarious list about something that's really hard to understand.

Beer: mmmmm. Too old to drink it these days.

None grossed me out in the least bit, and most made perfect sense.Been a long time since I was pregnant, but I had some wonderous cravings....and until you have eaten sand (apparently some vitamin/mineral deficiency) and spent time sitting on a curb to smell gasoline, or begged your husband to buy you a chalkboard so you can smell chalk dust when your pregnant you haven't even come close to weird...see I am weird. Great T13, hope you'll stop and check out my blog.

I craved onions.

Good thing I already got the guy, huh? I would have real trouble getting dates otherwise!

Happy TT!

Wow, you had some crazy cravings! For me it was orange juice, each time. That's the only time I ever drank it.

That beer thing - I had that, but with tomatoes. I always despised tomatoes! I'd eat them cooked in chili or spaghetti and stuff like that - but tomato juice or just a plane old tomato - yuckola! When I was prego with my daughter, I CRAVED tomatoes - anything and everything tomato - tomato juice, raw tomatoes, cooked tomatoes - all of it. My daughter, incidently, LOVES tomatoes . . . she can't get enough of them.

Wow! That's quite a list. I was sick during my pregnancies and basically lived on baked potatoes, so that is a great pregnancy food!

I didn't have much craving when i was pregnant but I was drinking lots of milk then. BTW, the beer part made me laugh. Really.

With Lilly I craved Salmon. I ate so much of it that now I can only eat it once in a great while... with Noah I didn't crave anything. Just different things sounded good on different days.

But I just need to say... A spoonfull of A1?? whoa. :)

I just plain craved FOOD! Although I could NOT stand the smell of corn.
