Listening to Advice

I am already stressing about school! It hasn't even started and I am already worried about how I am going to make it through. After an anxiety attack tonight, I feel that I need to remember:
"I never said it would be easy.
I only said it would be worth it."

Leanne -- please don't doubt yourself. You truly have a passion for this, I can tell. I have a close friend who ocassionaly has panick attacks about her new career choice too, but she too is passionate about it and I encourage her to keep on keeping on.

The labour/delivery ward is full of hormonal, emotional, incredible women who need love, support and encouragement from nurses WHO TRULY CARE about them. Y-O-U are that nurse, Leanne.

You will be okay! I know it is hard to feel that way- I too stress until I feel like I have a good handle on whatever it is. But you will get through it. That is a fantastic saying and so true- it will be worth it. I said it before and I'll say it again - I would have LOVED to have you in the L/D room with me! Stick with it....many, many pregnant women will be so grateful you did- and think of the amazing role model you are being for your children! You are amazing! You can do this!

Leann, you can absolutely do this. It's not going to be easy, you're right... but so few things worth doing well are actually easy to accomplish.

It sounds to me like you have a wonderful family around you to lend support and encouragement!

Just remember that by taking this time to enrich your own mind, you will be making yourself an even better and happier person... and that will not only make you a wonderful nurse, but an even better wife and mother.

Congratulations!! I am so proud of you.
